Drinking Right Tomorrow!

Last week we announced plans for a Cheddarsphere Christmas Party, but that doesn't mean that we still can't go drinking as usual!  They are forcasting snow, but as Wisconsinites, we need to stand up to the media craziness and carry on with life as usual!

Don't give into the hype!  Go out when it's snowing!

Come to Drinking Right, this Tuesday December 9th at Papa's Social Club on 78th and Burleigh starting at 7 PM!

Cheddarsphere Blogger Christmas Party

Last year's Cheddarsphere Christmas party was such a rousing success we just have to do it again.

OK kids here are the details.

The party will be held on Sunday December the 28th from noon until whenever at Papa's Social Club, 7718 W. Burleigh, Milwaukee.

Just like last year we'll be collecting predictions from the attendees for the coming year. (Hopefully we'll do better than last year!)

The Packers will be facing the Lions on the big screens, hopefully we will not be witness to the Lion's first victory.

I'd like to propose a white elephant gift exchange this year. Here are the rules, buy a gift valued at no more than $5, wrap it and bring it with you to the party. Everyone who brings a gift will throw their name in a hat and then you draw and pick a gift at random. Please leave feedback as to if you would like to participate. (Gift exchange to commence after the Packer game)

Just like last year this is a NON PARTISAN CHRISTMAS PARTY, all are welcome, blog authors and blog readers. Bloggers, please do what you do best, spread the word.

If you will be attending PLEASE leave a comment at Real Debate Wisconsin, who is organizing this event, so we can give the bar an idea of how many people will be coming along.

Election Night Drinking Right

This is a reminder that the November Drinking Right in Milwaukee will be a week early, to coincide with the Presidential Election on Tuesday November 4th.  Everything else remains the same.  So after you've voted, stop on by Papa's Social Club starting at 7 PM on 78th and Burleigh.  We'll have free pizza and garlic bread, as well as election returns on the televisions in the bar.

There will also be another election that night, between the Drinking Right Party and the Party Party.  All voting participants will be entered into a raffle for great prizes from Papa's.  Further rules and details about the raffle will be made available that night.

Anyone and everyone is invited, whether you are a blogger, a blog reader, or just interested in politics.  Come on by whether you voted for Bob Barr, John McCain, Barack Obama, Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin, or Dave Casper.

Update 11/1:  I got further details regarding the raffle.  Everyone will have an opportunity to vote for the Drinking Right Party or the Party Party on their way into Papa's.  Depending on who wins (Drinking Right or Party), all the people who voted for the winning candidate will be entered into the raffle.  The winner will receive a free dinner for two.
